Your guide to Dubai Boat Show

This year, you can expect the Dubai Boat Show to be at a new location, Dubai Harbour. This is the largest harbour in the Middle East and Africa with 1100 berths. It’s located a short distance from Dubai airport, right on the famous Dubai Palm.

Here is everything you need to know about Dubai Boat Show from a logistical perspective… Plus a few local attractions, should you have some spare time!

Transport

As you would imagine in a modern, man made country like Dubai, there are great transport links. In fact, there is even a helipad if that’s how you want to travel (although, we would suggest this would not be a cost effective solution!). Dubai has excellent air and sea capacity as it is the regional hub for freight.

However, customs clearance can take a few days so it’s important to keep this in mind when planning your delivery time scales.

Shipping Requirements

Shipping to the UAE is very straightforward as long as you dot all the I’s and cross all the T’s. The paperwork requirements are that original paperwork is sent forward with the goods, so this means we need to collect your freight a few days earlier so that correct weights and dimensions can be added to your paperwork.

Think Expo Logistics will provide you full instructions on how to complete your paperwork and will guide you through the process from start to finish. For further information, please get in touch with us. We look forward to working with you in Dubai.

Local Attractions

Firstly, we would recommend packing your sun tan lotion as average temperatures in March are 29 degrees! There are lots of local attractions to explore and you can easily fill a few days of down time on site or locally on the palm with a huge selection of great restaurants and bars.

If you’re looking to go further afield, here are our recommendations:

  • If you get some time off, there are many great golf courses to explore or you can take a trip into the desert for a Bedouin evening with dune driving in a 4x4 or if you fancy something a little cooler, you can go indoor skydiving at Dubai Mall.

  • Paul’s personal favourite is the amazing water park at the Atlantis hotel, with rides and slides for all levels of bravery!

  • If shopping is your thing, you really are spoilt for choice with an amazing array of malls. But if you have time, don’t forget to visit the Gold Souk or experience the sights and smells of the Spice Souk.

All in all, Dubai is a great place to visit. We look forward to seeing you there.
